We had packed up the van and trailer on Saturday night, but Benjamin and Mom were still up at 4 o clock in the morning! However, despite the lack of sleep we pulled out of the drive way at 8:30am and grabbed some breakfast on the way to the highway. We did have to turn around and head back home, but it only happened once… (forgot a car charger.) A little bit further along the road Benjamin remembered that his fishing rods were still at the house! He still had the reels in the tackle box, so we’ll just have to buy a few rods when we get to Florida.
We made pretty good time and only made a couple of stops before we checked into a hotel just past Birmingham, Alabama.

When we got to the hotel we moved the cargo bags out of the trailer and locked them inside the van while we slept.
