September 11, 2013-On this “Patriot’s Day” we visited the nearby St. Andrew’s State Park.[again]
The jetty and the bay
Up to this point in our trip the beach has had a yellow flag every day
Moving on…
The water was even less clear inside of this bay. The water had the color and visibility of tea, but was much too salty for any further comparison.
It’s always interesting to sit near the bay and watch the ships roll in…
…oh, I feel a song coming on:
We also visited the alligator park in St. Andrew’s:
We brought some bait for the alligators!
With all of the rain that they’ve had down here this summer, the path was flooded by several feet! These steps would have lead down to the path.
During the first week of our trip, these planes must have been doing some maneuvers from Tyndall Air Force Base and we’d hear them blow by probably a dozen times a day. I would love to know what kind of planes these are.
I would love to know what kind of planes these are.
I didn’t have time to catch a picture of the “North Thomas Dr” which would’ve been more fitting.
A quick drive-by pic of the pier
What a fantastic sunset!
I love to see the wide variance of colors in a sunset’s “gradient”
Getting our mail shouldn’t seem like a big deal, but it’s taken a lot of phone calls and emails to finally find our mailbox, get the lock replaced, and get a new key.

I LOVE that bay! And the sunset...ahhh!!! Amazing! :)
Those are some amazing landscape pictures! You all are staying in a picturesque place... complimented perfectly by good ol' Mr. Redding! (Love the tunes!)
I especially like the setting sun one... And I dare say, there were some pretty artistic pictures of Lydia (Like the one of her on the deck. :-)
Thanks for keeping us posted with pictures!
I love seeing what you all have been up to. :-)
