Holliday Makes History, Hawaiian Punch, a Walk Off, and a Sweep

May 27, 2015 - This evening we enjoyed a beautiful evening at Busch Stadium to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals vs the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Nobody looks good in photos taken from below you

I was hoping for a home run from Kolten Wong, and he did just that on the very first pitch of the game!

Sorry...my baseball enthusiasm over Kolten Wong often manifests itself in hashtags

We had a great time with Mrs. Ford at the game!

Matt Holliday made some history when he became the first player in the National League and the Cardinals to reach base in the first 43 games of a season.

It was a great game!
The Cardinals were trailing in the 9th inning, but thanks to a home run from Heyward, the game was tied back up.  We later loaded the bases with 1 out and the D-Backs moved their one of their outfielders to the infield and played in for a double play.
Jhonny (or Ja-honnie as we call him) comes up to the plate...

Check out the end of the video below to see how we won in walk-off fashion to sweep Arizona!
