Gander Mountain & Game Night

August 30, 2014 – We met up with friends and headed to Gander Mountain before a game night at our house in the evening.

Checking out the knives

Trying out some feminine camouflage fashion:

Well, Abigail was a sport about going to Gander Mountain with five guys, but it was our turn next!

Just had to get a pic as proof that I have been in the makeup section of JC Penny’s – for about 30 seconds.

The guys decided to head to Party City to get our own makeovers:

This mask reminded me of the time when a [former]  Cardinals pitcher, Joe Kelly, pulled a prank during an interview:

This image is a little bit creepy:

Could that be Kate – on Pinterest?

Between watching Messy Monday’s video on awkward hugs and learning that a 20 second hug can raise trust, we just had to give it a try.  Why not text in the meantime?

Baseball

September 19, 2013-Well, this morning started with donuts…IMG_7897

…so maybe out of a sense of guilt we headed to the park for some fun and exercise.

The Frank Brown Recreational Park has about a dozen fantastic ball fields and hosts the World Softball Championship.  The fields are free to use and are even lit up at night – I so wish we had a place like this back in St. Louie’.

Not only is he now using a blue bat, but I thought Noah was a right-handed batter…weird.

Benjamin is on the mound and I’m covering…well…1B, 2B, SS & 3B.

Despite the small tropical breeze, it was still a pretty hot day!

Wow, did I bare-hand the ball every time?  You’ve got to love T-balls.

Time for War

We had a great evening last week playing some war with our friends!  We had a few great air soft battles and ended the evening with some Axis & Allies!
I love strategic games and because I am the only one in the house who does, I usually end up playing by myself.  I win every time.

Serving @ CHEF Ladies’ Tea

IMG_0907IMG_0910

We went to the CHEF Ladies’ Tea last Wednesday because we heard that they needed servers.  There ended up being about a dozen boys to help serve which was more than enough, but we had a good time talking with them during the downtime.

…Benjamin and I after the tea.  Where did Noah go?

Believe it or not but the guy with the towel DOING THE DISHES is ME!

After cleaning up the guys started playing “Quarters.”

At this point in the game none of us had bloody knuckles.
